Tyddyn Iolyn is an idyllic 16th century, oak beamed Welsh farmhouse steeped in local history. In an elevated, peaceful location between the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park and the unspoilt beaches of the Llyn Peninsula, Tyddyn Iolyn boasts the most dramatic open views.
Our five individual en-suite rooms offer the character and charm of converted old farm buildings and are privately situated in the courtyard of the farmhouse, giving our guests privacy and access at any time, and providing quality bed and breakfast accommodation with a difference.
Once a traditional working farm, Tyddyn Iolyn is surrounded by farmland and is home to our two retired donkeys. Situated in about three acres, we have lots of open space that guests are welcome to enjoy, including the constantly evolving flower gardens, the old walled kitchen garden with low box hedging, soft fruits, poly tunnel and greenhouse, and our two fields where the donkeys have their stable. The front gate is half a mile away making our location quiet and secluded, yet only minutes away from the small, historic, seaside town of Criccieth and the facilities and harbour at Porthmadog. The famous Italianate village at Portmeirion, the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways, Caernarfon castle, Abersoch, Black Rock Sands and the pretty village of Beddgelert are all close by and we are only a short distance from some of the best walking and climbing routes in Snowdonia.

You can look forward to a warm welcome with a complementary tray of tea or coffee and toasted Welsh cakes with jam on your arrival. We offer a full breakfast with fresh, local ingredients and vegetarian and special diets can be catered for by arrangement. We provide an abundance of books, guides and local information and have many years of walking the mountains of Snowdonia and the coastline of Llyn and would be pleased to advise you on suitable walks in the area.
