The Cottages

This is now a kitchen/living room coupled with the Hayloft directly above. This was once the creamery for the farm in the early 1900s. The Barn has its own slate patio for you to enjoy breakfast or afternoon coffee taking in the beautiful view down the valley to Porthmadog.
The Hayloft is a first floor cruck loft with original wooden pegged oak beams and therefore limited headroom in places! Situated above The Barn, there is a double bed and an en-suite bathroom.

Please note whilst The Bakehouse is a standalone building, it is a bedroom and en-suite bathroom only with NO kitchen or living room.

Once the bakery for the old farm and still retaining the original inglenook and some huge stones in the walls, The Bakehouse is a cosy, detached room with a double bed and en-suite shower room. Small but private and with loads of character, The Bakehouse is perfect for adding two extra companions to the other cottages. This room benefits from its own private walled garden, ‘The Piggery’, down some steps, with an old oar found on Harlech beach serving as a handrail. Originally The Bakehouse was thought to be a Ty un Nos, or a dwelling built overnight. The custom was that if a house could be constructed overnight on common land and have smoke coming from the chimney by daybreak, it could remain.

Please book The Bakehouse as an addition to any of the other cottages.
